I recently had my first sugaring experience at Sugaring NYC in Ridgewood, NJ, and I couldn’t be more impressed! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by how cute and pink the space was—it instantly made me feel welcome and comfortable.
The staff were incredibly sweet and accommodating, from the warm greeting at reception to my wonderful sugarista, Jasmine. As a first-timer, I was a bit nervous, but Jasmine quickly put me at ease. She was efficient, thorough, and took the time to be friendly and informative throughout the service.

I’ve been going to Sugaring NYC Ridgewood for about a year and a half now, and I can’t say enough good things especially about Dana. She’s honestly the best. I’m a pretty quiet and introverted person, and I usually keep to myself, but with Dana, I feel totally comfortable. She’s easy to talk to, super professional, and genuinely cares.
When I first started, I struggled with a lot of ingrown hairs, and she really helped me with that over time. Her technique is gentle but effective, and she always gives great advice on aftercare. It’s rare to find someone who makes you feel at ease while also being amazing at what they do. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for someone kind, patient, and skilled!

The service did not work for me, but the customer service was exceptional.
I had a very easy time making the appointment, the atmosphere and overall vibe in the salon was spectacular, I was treated with respect and it was clear that my needs as a customer were the priority.
Unfortunately, the service did not work for me. It was a little less painful than soft wax, about the same as hard wax, but took off a lot less hair despite it being the perfect length. If you have thinner hair that still grows long, especially on the face and neck, this may be your experience.
However, I was charged only for the part that the hair came off of most successfully despite them having tried it on my entire face and neck.
Overall, despite the service not having worked for me, I am satisfied with my experience nonetheless.

Anyone interested in sugar waxing should definitely check out Sugaring NYC in Ridgewood! I’ve been going for a couple months now and have received excellent service time and time again. Staff is very friendly and welcoming and the space is very clean. I definitely recommend Brittany she is an amazing sugarista! She is very kind, personable, and knowledgeable and is passionate about the work she does she pays attention to small details and makes sure your satisfied with your service. The service itself is rather quick, and NOT as painful as some may portray. Choosing Sugar waxing has been a game changer for me the results are way better and they last longer plus there’s no irritation afterwards. I’ve already scheduled my next appointment. This was my first time visiting this sugaring studio here in Ridgewood, NJ , and I was genuinely impressed. The place is very nice, super clean, and has a warm. Welcoming energy from the moment you walk in. Everyone there was extremely kind and attentive.
A special shoutout to Katrina, who did my Brazilian and underarms. She is amazing — patient, understanding, gentle, and incredibly professional. Her vibes is really nice. She made me feel comfortable the entire time, and her energy is truly beautiful. You can tell she really cares about her clients. Her service is 10 of 10.
I’ve been to other sugaring nyc places before, and the experience doesn’t compare. Here, they greet you with a smile, treat you with respect, and make sure you feel taken care of.

The space is very clean and very pink and picturesque. My first time here was about 3 months ago and my Sugarista Brittany made the experience very pleasant. She was kind, personable, knowledgeable and appears to be passionate about the work she does. The service itself is rather quick, it is NOT painless as some may portray sugaring to be but it is less painful than wax, numbing spray is an option, the results are way better and they last longer plus there’s no irritation afterwards. I’ve already scheduled my next appointment. So glad I made the switch from wax to sugar. Book with Brittany, she gets the job done!!💗😊

I have been to this place a few times and have always had a great experience. This time I had Dana and she is amazing! She greeted me with a smile even though I had my last appointment of the day. Despite it being close to closing time, Dana took her time and was patient throughout the entire process. She stopped every few times to make sure I wasn't in too much pain. Had a great first-time experience with Katrina. I was looking for an alternative to my usual esthetician for a Brazilian sugaring wax and found this place online. Booking was super easy via the website, and I also downloaded the app to reschedule.
The session with Katrina was relatively painless, thorough, and quick, and she is a great conversationalist to boot. I have had a few dozen waxes in the past, but I can honestly say this was my best one to date. I am so happy I found this place and especially my amazing and talented Sugarista Dana!! I booked with her not knowing what to expect and I’m so glad that I did! During my appointment Dana was very thorough, making sure to get every stubborn hair. She was also making sure the process was as painless as possible by using a technique which worked best for me. This was my first time ever getting sugaring as my hair removal process. I have done waxing, laser, shaving, you name it - but this was probably the most comfortable experience I have ever had. First of all, the owner was manning the front desk and she was so friendly and warm, I felt like I was at a girlfriend’s house. My sugaring technician, Brittany was professional, efficient and answered all of my questions without getting annoyed (I can be a lot!). I can’t wait to go back and I even added on a vajacial to try. Alize and Katrina are the absolute best of the best when it comes to Brazilian sugar waxing! they turned what should be a painful and difficult experience into a hilarious therapy session. Between the funny conversation and their perfectionist-level attention to detail, I almost forget Im getting waxed (almost 😅). I just tried sugaring for the first time, I can confidently say that it's now my preferred method of hair removal. The experience was surprisingly gentle and far less painful than waxing. The sugar paste felt soothing on my skin, and Dana was friendly and skilled in applying and removing it with minimal discomfort. I have sensitive skin, but sugaring didn't cause any irritation or redness. I highly recommend sugaring for anyone seeking a natural and effective hair removal option.

I recently visited this location for my first sugar wax. My experience was great ! As soon as I walked in the employees greeted me so kind. I didn’t have to wait as I booked an appointment.
My waxer Katrina was very gentle and sweet. She has incredible knowledge as an Esthetician she informed me on the benefits of sugaring and also gave some product information I asked about.

Sugaring NYC is outstanding. Dana is amazing and makes every appointment easy from start to finish. The studio is spotless and comfortable, and she is always warm, professional, and efficient. My overall hair growth has decreased significantly since switching to sugaring, and the process is far less painful than traditional waxing. SOOOOOOOO GOOD! The workers are soooooooo nice and make you feel incredibly comfortable. The atmosphere is super welcoming, and everything was clean and well organized. I used to do legs and armpits, now I do only armpits there. Amber and Katrina are magical sugaristas, they do armpits almost painlessly. And it's hard, because armpits are usually very sensitive.
Legs they also did relatively quick and without any pain.
The place is relaxing and they have an easy online booking system and a discount for multiple visits. I'll come back:) Highly recommend!

Honestly, the only thing I didn't like is that the place was slightly colder than I would like. But the service and results were great. First time at this location. The sugarist, I believe it was Dana, she was great, comfortable, and professional. I got sugared about two weeks ago now and I am still clean so I would highly recommend and would go back.

I had a great experience at sugaring NYC the other day! Layla was my sugarista and she was extremely kind and patient. I was shocked my her knowledge with hair removal.
Overall, painless experience compared to waxing, would definitely recommend for sensitive skin, like mine. I will definitely be bringing my daughter with me to my next appointment, to get ready for the cheerleading season!

The atmosphere was very relaxing and good music playing in the background. Alizè was my sugarista and she is very detailed and gets every single hair and even the little ones you didn't think you had. She made the experience very calm and didn't feel rushed. I’ve gotten sugared by a few different sugaristas here and all have been wonderful! I particularly appreciate Dana as she’s always friendly and makes conversation throughout the whole session which helps distract me from the pain. She’s also very thorough with her work - I sometimes have to do some extra plucking at home but with her I don’t need to!

Dana and Brittany are very good with the services. I have not tried sugaring before and after going this place, change perception of waxing. The way they use their techniques, gentle pressure and very nice products. I will definitely going to recommend all to go here. They are very good with appointments and impromptu with the services because I love quick and best service. It worth it.
